Lincoln has decided that he doesn't want to have anything
to do with his crib anymore and that he only wants to
sleep in his big boy bed only one problem.....
he isn't sleeping very well. It takes him at
least an hour to fall asleep with us laying by
him and then he wakes up at least twice during
the night and both times it takes about an hour to get
him back to sleep. Any suggestions on how to get him to
sleep better we are all feeling a little sleep deprived, and that
shouldn't be happening until we have the new baby. What should
I do?

Maybe a white noise machine would help him fall asleep better?
Which I could help but can't, not for another 2 years! :) But I was wondering if you say my response to the diaper bag. Let me know. thanks!
I heard that you tell them that every time they get out of their bed you close their door a little more, on the 3rd time shut it completely. Apparently this is effective. Unfortunately for us, Addison won't sleep unless the door is closed, so it didn't really help. But maybe it will help you. :)
when i was little i wouldnt sleep through the night ever! so when i was 2 my mom had had it and found a therapist that wrote a book on it and she did what the book said and it took one night and they never had a problem again! so here is the basics:) leave them in their room and when they fuss or get up DONT turn on the light just get them back in bed pat their back or tummy and say mommy loves you and walk out. each time wait five minutes longer then the time before and go in and do the same thing. first wait 5 minutes then 10 then 15 and so on and so forth. it teaches them how to put themselves to sleep but they still feel safe. it took a few nights with my sister but everyone says it works wonders:) if you wanna give it a try call my mom for more details!!!!
