This past week Craig went to Chicago on Business and
Lincoln and I were able to go with him. We were glad
that we were able to go because we wouldn't ever
go there on vacation so it was fun to go see some where we
never would be able to to see. We were a little nervous about the
3 hour plane ride with Lincoln but he did very well on the way there.
On the way back he was pretty fussy and didn't sleep at all but we made
it home all in one piece. The above picture is of us at a pizza place, that
has great deep dish pizza famous to Chicago.
Lincoln did not sleep very well at all on this trip
so Craig and I were pretty tired but we still had a lot of
fun. Really one of the only ways to get him to sleep
was to put him in the stroller and walk outside. He loves to
be outside. Lincoln and I had fun walking around the area where
our hotel was. It was a little frusterating because we were in the financial district
of Chicago everything closed right around 5:00 every night so we had a hard time
finding places to eat for dinner but we survived.
We got to see lots of buildings while we were there
in Chicago, this one was really cool. This is Opera's
house. She owns 12,000 square feet which I can only
imagine how expensive it would cost.
We decided one night to take Lincoln to the pool
in the hotel. This was his first time in a swimming
pool and unfortunately the pool was very cold so
we only stayed in for a few minutes, but I think
that really liked being in the water. Aren't my
boys so cute. I love them!
It was very shocking when we first got in because
it was so cold. Isn't Lincoln so cute.
On top of the Sears Tower. What a beautiful
view. Aren't we a cute little family.
In front of our hotel. We stay at the Holiday Inn
which was on Top of the Chicago-Sun Times
building. It was a very busy building. We thought
it was neat that Chicago is built right around the river.
Our last night in Chicago we went to a Steak House.
The food was great. Lincoln was quite as excited to be there as us
but we had fun.
We went on a tour of the city the last day
we were there on a double decker bus. It was
so neat to be able to see all the sites of Chicago.
We stopped at Navy Pier and were able to walk around.
Navy Pier is set right next to Lake Michigan.
It was very pretty there, but also
very chilly. We had to keep Lincoln bunddled
up the whole time. He didn't seem to mind.
There were some shops on Navy Pier that we
walked through, when we were inside we decided
to sit down for a few minutes and rest and while
we were sitting a little play started for kids. This is a picture
of how much Lincoln liked it, the bottom picutre
is what he was watching. Isn't he so cute.
Thanks for taking us with you Craig we had fun.
